The Velvet Hills Show Chorus is run by its members. It functions under the Bylaws of Sweet Adelines International and the Velvet Hills Show Chorus Standing Rules and Procedures written and approved by the members.
Six members are elected and two members are appointed to serve on the Management Team, which oversees the functional aspects of the organization. The Director is also a member of the Management Team and oversees the MERT. Members volunteer to serve on committees to support the Management Team.
The Management Team typically meets once a month. The team develops long-range plans based on the goals and values of the chapter membership. They assist, oversee, and evaluate the implementation of plans and actions of the associated committees or sub-teams working with that team member. Most importantly, the team is responsible for fostering and ensuring open and frequent communications at all levels of the chapter.
