The Velvet Hills Show Chorus is proud to have a number of quartets that are comprised of members of Velvet Hills Show Chorus members. If you are interested in having a quartet perform for you, please contact them via the information provided below, or contact Carmen Thornburgh at carmenet@q.com.
It all started with Singing Valentines... this foursome thought they would learn a few songs and deliver Singing Valentines, along with other groups, for the Velvet Hills Chorus. Once they started practicing together for this fun event, they realized that there was something very special there!
nVision was "born" in January 2010 and competed at the Regional Competition in April. You would've thought they'd won the contest when they were announced as the 4th Place Medalists!!! They've been flying high ever since!
All members of the Velvet Hills Show Chorus here in Colorado Springs, Deb Kirkendall sings Tenor (that's the high part), Suzi Johnsen is the Lead (the beautiful melody), Carolyn Hill sings Baritone (the strange and wonderful harmony part that wraps around the Lead) and Andrea Hass is the Bass (the low part). They brought a wide range range of quartet experience to this formation (Suzi was in the Top 15 at International several times and this is Carolyn's first registered quartet!) - but they come together with the love for this amazing style of acappella music!
You can find us at www.nvisionquartet.net or through the Velvet Hills Chorus at www.velvethills.org.
STUDIO 4 is Lead Julie (Greeley), Bass Leslie
(Lone Tree), Bari Lynn (Monument), and Tenor Robin (Colorado Springs). Often asked how they manage to get across the
Front Range without getting lost, they actually navigate by the stars (having memorized
all 42 Starbucks locations along I-25 from Colorado Springs
to Fort Collins,
where they are known by name).
These
four voices of STUDIO 4 have been together for a short time – but in that time
they managed to earn 4th place at the seven-state Region 8
competition in March of 2011. STUDIO 4 delights
in bringing to you a mellifluous, melodious, and memorable musical experience.
